Michael Murphy has spent the last decade traveling and fishing lakes across the Eastern US in BASS and FLW sanctioned tournaments. Through a Fisheries Biology degree from Purdue University and Tournament Experience, he offers a wealth of knowledge.

If you have a bass fishing trip coming to Lake Murray, would just like to fun fish, or learn more about your electronics, then definitely drop Michael a line.

For a small fee, Michael will provide you an information packed trip on Lake Murray to give you a jump start in your fishing success, helping to build your approach on your preferred techniques.

Michael Murphy has a valid business license and is USCG approved with a valid Merchant Mariner Licensed. (Merchant Mariner Licenses are now required by all guides on Lake Murray. Do not hire an underinsured, unlicensed guide. Always ask for credentials.)

All Drinks, life jackets, gas and fish provided. Fishing equipment can be provided upon request. You will need to bring a valid fishing license, lunch and any fishing equipment you would like.

Guide Rate:

Peak Season Rate: $400 for 5 hours, $60/hour for each additional hour, up to two anglers - February, March, April, May, June, September

Off Peak Rate: $350 for 5 hours, $50/hour for each additional hour, up to two anglers - January, July, August, October, November, December

Instruction Rate:

Michael offers additional Instruction to those who would like continued education throughout the season or on their home lake (not limited to Lake Murray). Michael will cater their Instruction Session to their needs based on his scientific approach on the seasons and forage cycles. This is a good alternative to anglers prepping for a tournament with a schedule conflict, not able to book a trip. Note: This is not a waypoint sharing service. That service is reserved for paying Guide Clients, this is a general understanding patterns service.

Session Rate: $75 for 1 hour (Includes research time needed to compile information, as well as follow-up to explain and clarify the suggested strategy.)
